The vessel and shore excursions involve varied terrain, including cobbles, compacted sand, narrow temple doorways, and uneven ancient stone surfaces. Embarkation and disembarkation use fixed gangways and steps; several cabins are reached by stairs. Shore excursions routinely require standing and walking for up to 60–90 minutes, often on uneven ground and with steps into temples and tombs. Wheelchair users will need a compact, manually propelled wheelchair for gangway transfers and may require assistance for some site access. We can arrange priority seating and slower walking pace briefings on request, and our team will meet you on arrival to discuss specific mobility needs. Please tell us about any mobility impairment, reduced stamina, or visual or hearing needs before travel so we can coordinate assistance with the cruise line and local guides.

Children 0–5.99 years travel free, 6–11.99 years pay 50% of the adult price, and children 12 years and older pay the full adult price. Children must share a cabin with their parents, with a maximum of one child per cabin; two or more children require their own cabin. Strollers can be used on the vessel and at embankments but are impractical on many temple sites and inside tombs due to steps and narrow passages. High chairs are available in the vessel dining room on request, but not guaranteed; please request child equipment at booking so we can confirm with the cruise partner.

We arrange this Nile cruiser using motor coaches for transfers between airport and embarkation where required, typically modern minibuses that meet local emissions norms. On the Nile, the vessel sails the river using its standard propulsion system; fuel-efficient routing is discussed with partners where practical. We contract locally owned hotels, Egyptologists, and excursion teams, paying suppliers directly in Egyptian pounds to support the local economy. Our shore guides are locally employed Egyptologists who receive an agreed daily rate above the sector average. Single-use plastic water bottles are discouraged aboard during excursions, passengers are asked to refill on the vessel, and we encourage guests to bring reusable bottles. As a licensed Egyptian tour operator, we require suppliers to follow cultural respect guidelines, and we prioritise partners who engage community craftspeople for local-market stalls and participatory village visits.
