Get your bearings

What Sharm El Sheikh actually is

Sharm El Sheikh sits at the southern tip of the Sinai peninsula, where the desert mountains drop straight into some of the richest coral water on the planet. It grew from a dive camp into Egypt's most developed resort town, strung along the bays of Naama and Nabq, but the thing that built it is still the thing worth coming for: the reefs of Ras Mohammed, where sheer walls plunge into the blue thick with fish.

Sinai gives Sharm a second dimension the Red Sea mainland lacks – mountains and history. A couple of hours inland, Mount Sinai rises where Moses is said to have received the commandments, with St Catherine's Monastery, one of the oldest working monasteries on earth, at its foot. Most people climb it overnight to reach the summit for sunrise, then fall back to the beach.

What you're really here to see

The landmarks that make Sharm El Sheikh

A steep coral wall dropping into deep blue at Ras Mohammed 01

Ras Mohammed National Park

Egypt's first marine park, at the very tip of Sinai, where the reef falls away in sheer walls thick with fish – the dive that made the Red Sea famous. Reached by boat from Sharm, and superb for snorkelers as well as divers.

Full day by boat

Hikers on the rocky summit of Mount Sinai at dawn 02

Mount Sinai at sunrise

The mountain where Moses is said to have received the commandments. The classic visit is an overnight climb by torchlight to reach the 2,285-meter summit for sunrise over a sea of bare Sinai peaks – cold, dark and worth it.

Overnight from Sharm

St Catherine's Monastery beneath the mountains of Sinai 03

St Catherine's Monastery

At the foot of the mountain, one of the oldest continuously working monasteries in the world, founded in the 6th century around the site of the Burning Bush. Its library is second only to the Vatican's, and the compound looks much as it did in the 12th century.

Cleopatra Luxury Resort Sharm El Sheikh

One-night hotel stay at Cleopatra Luxury Sharm El Sheikh, booked and supported by our licensed Egyptian tour operator. We handle arrival logistics: your driver meets you in arrivals with a name card and transfers you to the hotel. We favour private transfers and on-request late check-in rather than fixed group shuttles. Unlike day-trip operators, an overnight gives you an evening to rest after arrival and to check sea and reef conditions before booking reef trips. Trade-offs: this is a single-night product; travelers planning diving or extended Sinai visits should add nights. We can add snorkeling, Ras Mohammed or Sinai excursions on request.

Stella Di Mare Hotel & Spa – Sharm El Sheikh

Stella Di Mare Hotel & Spa – Sharm El Sheikh

Stella Di Mare Hotel & Spa Sharm El Sheikh is a coastal hotel with spa facilities and direct access to Red Sea activities. As a licensed Egyptian tour operator, we arrange private transfers from Sharm El Sheikh International Airport (SSH), snorkeling and scuba with licensed local dive centres, and day trips to Ras Mohammed National Park. We treat Stella Di Mare primarily as a logistics base for Red Sea activity rather than a standalone sightseeing hotel. Unlike liveaboard dive cruises, a land-based stay lets you return to the same room each night and dine in Naama Bay after diving. Trade-offs: winter wind can reduce snorkel visibility and many reef sites require a short boat transfer.

Naama Bay Hotel & Resort, Sharm El Sheikh

Naama Bay Hotel & Resort, Sharm El Sheikh

Naama Bay Hotel & Resort sits on Naama Bay promenade in Sharm El Sheikh, about 12 km (20-minute drive) from Sharm El Sheikh International Airport. We are a licensed Egyptian tour operator and arrange private airport transfers, day snorkeling trips to nearby reefs, and Ras Mohammed National Park excursions. We avoid large coach pickups; instead we supply private transfers and local reef guides for small groups. Unlike quieter Dahab or some Sinai dive lodges, Naama Bay concentrates hotels, restaurants, and evening venues within walking distance. Expect more evening noise and fewer secluded beaches than open-coast dive towns; rooms facing the promenade can be lively after 10 pm.

Naama Waves Hotel, Naama Bay (Sharm El Sheikh)

Naama Waves Hotel sits on Naama Bay’s main promenade in Sharm El Sheikh, offering pool-side rooms and on-site dining. As a licensed Egyptian tour operator, we arrange airport transfers and snorkel or day-trip bookings so logistics are handled before you arrive. We don't sell rooms only; we bundle transfers and local support so you avoid taxi negotiation and lost time at arrival. Compared with resorts outside town, Naama Bay gives shorter evening walks to restaurants, shops and diving operators. Trade-offs: promenade-facing rooms may be noisy after 10pm and beach access is public and often busy in peak season.

Naama Bay Suites & Spa, Sharm

Naama Bay Suites & Spa, Sharm

Naama Bay Suites & Spa is our one-night hotel option in Sharm for arrivals, departures, or brief stopovers. Rooms suit guests connecting to Sinai excursions or early/late flights; we arrange private transfers and same-day check-in coordination. We do not run large coach groups for one-night stays; instead, we assign private rooms and private transfers to reduce waiting times. Compared with larger resort packages, Naama Bay provides faster access to dive piers and the promenade than resorts south of Sharm. Trade-offs: Naama Bay is lively after dark, so it's less suitable for travelers seeking a quiet, multi-night beach escape. As a licensed Egyptian tour operator, we handle your reservation, transfers, and day-trip logistics in Sharm.

Sharm el‑Sheikh International Airport is 15–25 minutes by car, depending on traffic.
