Can you go inside the Great Pyramid?

Yes – interior access to the Great Pyramid (or one of the smaller pyramids) is available as an optional add-on, bought as a separate ticket at the gate. It's a steep, low climb into the core; your guide will tell you what to expect so you can decide on the day.

Are camel or horse rides at the Pyramids included?

They're optional rather than included, and prices at the gate are often inflated. Your guide can arrange a fair, pre-agreed rate with a trusted operator if you'd like the classic photo from the panorama point – there's no pressure to take one.

How much does a Giza Pyramids day tour cost?

Private day tours in Giza Pyramids start from $50 per person, with the exact rate depending on the itinerary, group size and season. Is hotel pickup included?

Yes. Pickup and drop-off at your Giza Pyramids hotel (or Nile cruise dock, where relevant) are included at no extra cost. Your guide meets you in the lobby; if your plans change, the local office that arranged the day tour can adjust it on the day.

When is the best time to visit Giza Pyramids?

October to April is the most comfortable season, with warm days and cool evenings ideal for sightseeing. May to September is hotter, so day tours start early to beat the midday heat – and you'll often find fewer crowds and lower prices. We run day tours in Giza Pyramids year-round.

Giza is the non-negotiable bucket-list item, but most visitors see only a fraction of the site. Visit Khufu Pyramid, the Great Sphinx, Djoser Step Pyramid at Saqqara, and Ramses II's colossus at Memphis in a single day. We operate private tours only; we do not run mass-bus group departures. Your driver collects you from your hotel in Cairo or Giza, and our Egyptologist accompanies all site visits. Unlike many half-day excursions, this itinerary allocates proper time to Saqqara and Memphis rather than a rushed stop. Expect 2–3 hours of walking on uneven stone, limited shade at midday, and transfers that can reach 60 minutes in peak traffic. What to wear

Cover shoulders and knees for mosques and churches. Closed, comfortable shoes – you'll cross uneven stone and sand.

Tipping

Around $2–4 a day for your guide is standard, and a little for the driver. Never obligatory – your day tour price is complete.
