Our Commitment

Discovery Tours Egypt is committed to making this website accessible to as many people as possible. We aim to meet WCAG 2.2 Level AA across all pages. Accessibility is an ongoing program of work, and we review and improve conformance regularly.

Conformance Status

This website is partially conformant with WCAG 2.2 Level AA, which means some content may not yet fully meet the standard. We are aware of these areas and are working to address them.

What We've Done

  • Keyboard navigation — all interactive elements are reachable and operable by keyboard alone
  • Color contrast — body text and headings meet or exceed the WCAG 4.5:1 minimum, most of it comfortably
  • Alternative text — informative images carry descriptive alt text; decorative images use empty alt attributes
  • Skip links — a skip-to-main-content link appears at the top of every page
  • Semantic HTML — pages use landmark regions, a logical heading hierarchy and ARIA labels to support assistive technology

Known Limitations

We would rather list the gaps we know about than claim a clean sheet. Two of our colors sit slightly below the 4.5:1 ratio required for small text: the gold we use for accents and small capitals, and the lightest grey used for dates and captions. Both clear the 3:1 threshold that applies at larger sizes, and neither is used for body copy, but they do not meet the stricter standard and we are correcting them. If either causes you difficulty, tell us and we will send you the content in a format that works.

Assessment Method

We assess accessibility through a combination of automated testing tools and manual keyboard and screen-reader checks during development.

Reporting a Problem

If you find content you cannot access, or experience a barrier not listed above, please tell us and we will do our best to help. We aim to acknowledge accessibility reports within 5 business days.
