No countdown timers and no fake scarcity. Here's exactly what the prices on this page mean.

Per person, two sharing

Every rate assumes two people sharing a standard cabin. Traveling solo? There's a single supplement, and we'll quote it plainly rather than hiding it in the fine print.

The from-rate is one real ship and date

A from-rate is the cheapest current combination of ship and departure in that tier – not an average and not a lure. Ask us and we'll name the ship.

Season moves the price

May to September sailings are the cheapest of the year because of the summer heat; October to April costs more and sells out earlier. The from-rate usually belongs to a low-season date.

The page updates itself

This page is rebuilt from the live booking catalogue every day. If a rate here has changed by the time you enquire, that means the catalogue moved – we'll always quote the current number.

01 When are Nile cruises cheapest? +

May through September, when Upper Egypt is at its hottest. Rates in those months are the lowest of the year, and the ships are quieter. If you can handle 100°F afternoons – mornings and evenings on the river are genuinely pleasant – low season is the best deal on the Nile. October to April is peak season: better weather, higher prices, earlier sell-outs.

02 Is a $420 Nile cruise actually 5-star? +

Yes, by Egyptian river-cruise classification, but be clear-eyed about what it means: 5-star deluxe ships are older-generation vessels with smaller cabins and simpler food than the ultra deluxe and luxury tiers. You still get full board, a pool deck, and the identical temple route. The tier pages compare what changes as the price goes up.

03 What's included at these prices? +

Full-board accommodation on the ship is always included. On most sailings the standard shore-excursion program with a licensed Egyptologist guide is included too – we confirm exactly what your chosen ship includes, in writing, before you pay anything. Flights, Egypt visa fees, and tipping are always separate.

04 Do you do last-minute Nile cruise deals? +

Sometimes. Ships release unsold cabins to operators like us at short notice, mostly in low season. There's no standing last-minute page because these come and go within days – tell our Cairo team your dates and we'll say honestly whether a short-notice rate exists for them.

05 How do I lock in a rate I see here? +

Message our reservations team through the contact form with your dates, party size, and the tier or ship you're interested in. Rates are confirmed against real cabin availability and held once you place a deposit – until then, catalogue prices can move.
