Board at Luxor and enjoy lunch on board before visiting Karnak Temple and Luxor Temple on the East Bank.

Explore the Valley of the Kings, the Temple of Hatshepsut and the Colossi of Memnon, then begin sailing south towards Edfu.

Visit the Temple of Horus at Edfu and the double temple at Kom Ombo, then sail on to Aswan.

Visit the Temple of Horus at Edfu, the best-preserved temple in Egypt, then sail on to Kom Ombo and its double temple dedicated to Sobek and Haroeris. Continue sailing to Aswan, where the ship moors for the night.

The ship lies moored at Aswan. Guests visiting Abu Simbel leave before dawn, by road or by air, for the two rock temples Ramesses II cut into the cliff, returning aboard around midday. The afternoon is at leisure on board.

After breakfast, disembark at Aswan. The morning then covers Aswan itself: the High Dam, the Temple of Isis at Philae reached by motor launch, and the granite Unfinished Obelisk, before your onward transfer.

Children 0 to 5.99 years travel free; children 6 to 11.99 years pay 50% of the adult price; children 12 and older pay the full adult price. Children must share a cabin with their parents, maximum one child per cabin; two or more children require a separate cabin. Strollers are practical on board public decks and in wide corridors, but they can be difficult to use on stone paths at archaeological sites and when boarding small landing boats. Infant cots and high chairs depend on the cruise line and are available on request; please ask at booking so we can confirm with the cruise supplier.

The cruise involves boarding a river vessel via a gangway and walking between shore and the ship; the gangway can be steep at low Nile levels. Many cabins are reached by one or two short stair flights; a limited number of cabins on the main deck have fewer steps. Shore excursions include uneven ancient stone, narrow tomb ramps, and steps at Valley of the Kings, Karnak Temple, and Philae; these sites are not fully level. Wheelchairs are practical on the vessel public decks and in larger main-deck cabins, but not all cabins or shore excursion landing boats can accommodate full-size wheelchairs. If you require a ramp, wheelchair transfer assistance, or an accessible cabin, tell us at booking so we can confirm suitability with the cruise line and local partners. We arrange additional porterage and assistance at embarkation and disembarkation where possible; this must be requested at least 14 days before travel.

Shore excursions are led by local Egyptologists and licensed guides, which directs earnings to professional guides in Luxor and Aswan. Food and provisioning on board commonly come from local markets and suppliers in Upper Egypt; where possible the cruise line buys seasonal produce from nearby towns. Transfers and shore transfers we arrange use modern air-conditioned minibuses and coaches provided by licensed local companies; these vehicles are routinely maintained and replaced according to supplier schedules. Port and landing fees paid for shore calls contribute to local port authorities and site management. Where detailed environmental data is available from the cruise line, we share it with guests at booking so you can make an informed choice.
