This Nile cruise involves boarding a river vessel via gangway steps and moving between shore and ship on uneven quays and river pontoons. Embarkation and disembarkation require negotiating 6–12 steps and a sloped gangway; some ports use temporary stairs or ramps which may be steep when the Nile level changes. On shore excursions you should expect cobblestones, uneven ancient stone, narrow tomb passages, and stairs at sites such as the Valley of the Kings and Karnak Temple. Wheelchair users with a collapsible, companion-assisted chair can usually be accommodated for sailing and main public areas, but full independent wheelchair access is not guaranteed. Elevators are uncommon; many cabins are on one level with small internal steps. If you require mobility assistance, oxygen, or special medical equipment, tell us when you book so we can confirm feasibility with the vessel and local suppliers. We are a licensed Egyptian tour operator and we will arrange qualified assistance and name-carrying meet-and-assist on arrival where possible, but please plan for some physical exertion and notify us of any mobility limitations at least 21 days before travel.

Strollers are practical for embarkation areas and on quays but may be difficult to use on uneven archaeological sites; most vessels do not provide cribs or high chairs, so parents should bring travel cots where required and request supplier confirmation at booking.

Single-use plastics are discouraged on most vessels, and drinking water is supplied in refill stations rather than individually packaged bottles where the ship permits. We monitor supplier practices for linen laundering frequency and energy use, and we ask guests to reuse towels to reduce water consumption.
