The Nile slips past your panoramic window in bands of green, ocher, and water as the Mayflower Nile Cruise leaves Luxor or Aswan. Who can join this
The vessel and shore excursions involve uneven surfaces, cobbles, stone steps, and short flights of stairs at temples and tombs, so a reasonable level of mobility is required. On board, cabins are typically reached by a single stairway and a passenger lift may not be available on every vessel; please advise us if you require a lower-deck cabin close to the gangway. Shore excursions include walking on narrow temple ramps and sandy riverbanks, and some sites have steps without handrails. Wheelchair users can be accommodated with advance notice, but full independent wheelchair access at every shore site is not guaranteed due to historic-site infrastructure and local quays. We are a licensed Egyptian tour operator and we arrange transfers and assistance on arrival; please tell us about mobility aids, and we will confirm which vessel and landing facilities are suitable before booking.

Children must share a cabin with their parents, with a maximum of one child per cabin; two or more children require a separate cabin. Cots and extra bedding depend on the vessel assigned, and strollers are practical on board but may be difficult to use on some quays and temple forecourts. Please contact us with exact ages at time of booking so we can confirm availability and bedding options.

We use air-conditioned coach transfers to and from the embarkation port arranged with Egyptian-owned transport companies; on the Nile, the vessel sails using its standard diesel engines and local crew employed by the cruise line. We contract local Egyptologists, guides, and small-scale service suppliers in Luxor and Aswan, paying per-tour fees rather than through pooled subcontractors, which channels revenue to local professionals. Single-use plastics are discouraged on board where the supplier permits refillable water stations; we will confirm bottle-refill arrangements at time of booking. Shore-excursion partners include licensed local guides and small craft operators, and we encourage respectful behaviour at archaeological sites to reduce wear on stone surfaces. Please tell us about any dietary needs so we can notify the cruise kitchen in advance.
