Asked & answered

Frequent questions

  1. 01How does the price work for the Ras Mohammed boat day?
The price is per person for a place on a shared boat with up to 40 guests. It covers transfers, snorkeling gear, lunch, drinks, the guide and the park fee. Prices are provisional until our team confirms your request. Towels, wetsuit rental in winter and photos are extra.
  2. 02Where is the pickup and at what time?
Pickup is at about 08:00 from hotels in Naama Bay, Sharks Bay, Nabq, Hadaba and the Old Market, then a transfer to the jetty. Our team confirms the exact time after accepting your request. Bring your passport or a copy for the jetty.
  3. 03Can I bring my children on the boat?
Children under 2 travel free, ages 2 to 11 pay half the adult price, and ages 12 and over pay the adult price. Children should be comfortable in the sea, and parents stay responsible for them on the boat and in the water.
  4. 04What should I pack for a day at sea?
Bring swimwear, a towel, reef-safe sunscreen, a hat and sunglasses, and seasickness tablets if you need them. Your passport or a copy is needed at the jetty. In winter pack a dry warm layer and consider renting a wetsuit, because the sea and the wind feel cold.
  5. 05What happens if the weather is bad?
A full refund applies if you cancel at least 3 days ahead. Cancel between 3 days and 24 hours before and we refund half. Closer than 24 hours, or a no-show, is not refundable. Tell us as early as you can, because the refund depends on how many days remain before the trip starts. A trip the port authority stops for weather is moved to another day or refunded.
  6. 06Will I share the boat with other groups?
Yes. The boat is shared with other guests, up to 40 in total, and the schedule is set for everyone. There is a snorkeling guide in the water at each stop. The White Island sandbar depends on the tide, so how much you can walk varies.
