Detailed itinerary
- 1
The vehicle collects you at 08:00. Pick-up covers Marsa Alam town, Port Ghalib and the resorts between them. Wear your swimming costume under your clothes and have a towel in your bag.
- 2
At the marina you meet the guide and crew and step aboard. They explain the safety rules and give out gear. If you feel nervous in the water, tell them now.
- 3
The boat anchors near seagrass where green turtles feed. The guide leads the group into the water and points out turtles as they rise to breathe. Keep your distance and never try to touch them. If no turtle is there, the guide explains the other animals you pass.
- 4
The boat then moves to a reef with a drop-off of coral and many small fish. Water here is a little deeper, so stay close to the guide. Tea and coffee are served between swims.
- 5
The boat heads back to the marina, giving you time to dry and warm up. Rinse your mask if you want to keep any photos of your own sharp.
- 6
The vehicle takes you back to your hotel, usually by about 12:45. Hotels further away may take a little longer. The afternoon is free for lunch and the pool.

01How is the Marsa Mubarak trip priced?
The fare is charged per person on a shared boat. It covers the transfers, the guide and crew, snorkeling gear and hot drinks with water. Children under 2 travel free, those from 2 to 11 pay half and everyone 12 or over pays the adult fare. Our team confirms the final figure when it receives your request.02Are turtles certain on this trip?
No. Green turtles are wild and come and go with the tide and the time of day. Sightings are likely, but we cannot promise them. The crew chooses the spot, keeps the group together and never lets guests touch or chase the animals.03Is it good for beginners or children?
Yes, the guide leads the swim and the first stop is usually calm. Beginners can wear a vest, and children should stay with a parent. Tell us how well each person swims when you request the trip.04What should I wear and bring?
Wear a swimsuit under a light top, and bring a towel, hat, sunglasses and reef-safe sunscreen. A light cover-up helps on the boat. Take some cash for tips. If you tend to feel seasick, take a tablet before you leave.05What is the policy if I cancel?
More than 72 hours ahead, keep 100% as credit toward future travel or take a 100% refund, less bank charges. Between 72 and 24 hours, keep 100% as credit or take a 50% refund. Within 24 hours, or if you don't show up, there is no refund or credit. If we have to cancel, you lose nothing.06Will the boat be shared?
Yes, you share the boat with other guests who are staying at nearby hotels. You snorkel as one group with one guide. If you would like a private boat for your party, ask our team about a separate charter.
