02Overview
A first look
This evening safari mixes the fun of a quad ride with a quiet desert meal. A shared vehicle collects you at 15:00 and takes you to the base, where the guide gives a safety briefing and a practice lap. The group then rides for about an hour and a half across sand and dry tracks, timed so that you reach a viewpoint at sunset. After photos, you go to a Bedouin camp for dinner and tea around the fire. A vehicle returns you to your hotel by about 19:30. Nights are cool, so a jacket is useful.
Background
The facts
The desert behind Marsa Alam has open ground and a clear western horizon, which suits a sunset ride. A Bedouin camp in the desert hosts dinner afterwards.

Asked & answered
Frequent questions
01What does the price include for the sunset safari?
The price is per person on a shared vehicle and covers the transfers, quad, helmet, guide, dinner, tea and water. Children under 2 are free and ages 2 to 11 pay half, while guests of 12 and over pay the adult price. Our team confirms the figure when it replies.02Do I need quad experience?
No. The guide teaches the basics and runs a practice lap before the main ride. If you prefer, you can share a quad with another person. The group rides at an easy pace.03What is the Bedouin dinner like?
It is a simple, hot meal served at a camp in the desert, usually with bread, rice and cooked dishes, followed by sweet tea. Tell the guide about allergies or special diets in advance. Soft drinks cost extra.04Will it be cold after sunset?
Yes, desert nights cool quickly, especially from late autumn to early spring. Bring a light jacket or a sweater. A scarf is provided for dust, which also helps keep your neck warm.05What happens if I cancel?
A cancellation at least three days ahead is fully refunded. From three days to 24 hours before, half is returned. Closer than 24 hours, or if you are not at the pick-up, there is no refund. We may adjust timings in strong wind.06Do I share the ride with other guests?
Yes. Up to 16 guests ride and eat together with one guide. You are part of a single line on the quads. If you want a private evening for your own party, ask our team.
