02Overview
A first look
Wadi El Gemal is a protected area of dry valleys, mangroves and coast south of Marsa Alam. This nine-hour trip combines a desert drive with a long beach stay. A shared vehicle picks you up at 08:00 and reaches the park around 09:30. After a stop at the visitor area, you drive through the wadi and along the mangrove shore to Sharm El Luli. The beach has pale sand and calm, clear water, good for swimming and easy snorkeling. Lunch is served at the beach, and there is free time before the drive back. Gazelles and turtles live in the park, but sightings are chance, not a promise.

Asked & answered
Frequent questions
01How does the price work for Wadi El Gemal?
The price is per person in a shared group of 16 or fewer. It covers the transfers, the park fee, the guide, lunch, water and snorkeling gear. Children under 2 are free, ages 2 to 11 pay half and 12 and older pay the adult fare. Our team confirms the figure after your request.02Will we see wildlife in the park?
Maybe. Gazelles, birds and sea turtles all live in and around the park. Seeing them is down to luck and the time of day, and we cannot promise any sighting. The mangroves and the landscape are the sure things on this trip.03Is Sharm El Luli good for non-swimmers?
Yes, the water near the shore is shallow and calm, so non-swimmers can paddle or float in a vest. The beach has little shade, so bring a hat. Keep children close to an adult.04What should I wear and bring?
Bring swimwear, a towel, a hat, sunglasses and plenty of sunscreen. Wear comfortable shoes for the park, and flip-flops for the beach. Take some cash for drinks and tips. A light layer helps in the cool vehicle.05What if I need to cancel?
Full refund if you tell us at least three days ahead. From three days down to the 24-hour mark, we pay back 50 percent. Later than that, or if you miss the pick-up, there is no refund. Please send changes to our team early.06Is the vehicle shared?
Yes. You travel with other guests, up to 16 in total, and they may be staying at different hotels. The same guide stays with the group all day. If you would rather go alone with your own party, ask us about a private option.
