Best time to go
October to April is cooler for walking the temples. In summer the heat is strong by late morning, so the early start helps.

02Overview
A first look
This private day takes you from the Red Sea coast to two of the best-kept temples on the Nile. Your driver collects you at 05:00 and crosses the desert to Edfu, about three hours away. There your Egyptologist shows you the Temple of Horus. After a drive of about an hour along the river you reach Kom Ombo, where you eat lunch and visit its double temple and the nearby Crocodile Museum. The car returns you to your hotel by about 18:30. It is shorter than the Luxor and Aswan days, and it suits travelers who like temples and want more time at each one.

Asked & answered
Frequent questions
01How is the price for this private temple trip worked out?
The price is per person and drops as your party grows, because the vehicle, driver and guide are shared. It includes the transfers, the Egyptologist, the two entrance tickets and lunch. Children's prices come from the ages in your request. Prices are provisional until our team confirms.02How long is the drive?
It is about three hours to Edfu, an hour from Edfu to Kom Ombo, and roughly four hours back. Rest stops add a little time. Your day runs from 05:00 until about 18:30.03Why Edfu and Kom Ombo instead of Luxor?
These two temples are closer to the coast than Luxor and Aswan, so the day is shorter. Edfu is among the best-preserved temples in Egypt, and Kom Ombo sits right on the river. They also have fewer crowds than Luxor's main sites.04What should we wear and bring?
Wear light clothing that covers shoulders and knees, sturdy shoes and a hat. Bring your passport or a copy, sunscreen, sunglasses and cash for drinks and tips. A light layer is useful for the cool car.05What happens if we need to cancel?
We refund all of it when you cancel three days or more ahead. We refund half from three days down to a day ahead. Within 24 hours, or if nobody meets the driver, there is no refund. Tell our team early about changes.06Is this a shared trip or private?
It is private. Your own party has the car, the driver and the Egyptologist, and nobody else joins. You can ask for more time in either temple. The maximum party size is 16.
