02Overview
A first look
This is a private 13-hour day trip from Alexandria to Giza. A driver collects you from your hotel or the cruise port at 06:30, and you cross the desert road to Giza in about three hours, with a rest stop. At Giza your own Egyptologist takes you to the three Pyramids and the Great Sphinx, then to lunch and the Grand Egyptian Museum. You reach Alexandria again at about 19:45. Because the trip is private, you can ask for more time at the places you like most. It is a very long day, and it suits travelers who want Cairo's best-known sights without changing hotels. Cruise passengers should check their sailing time with us before booking.

Asked & answered
Frequent questions
01How is this private trip priced?
The price is per person and goes down as your group gets bigger, because the vehicle, driver and guide are shared among you. It covers the transfers, the Egyptologist, the entrance tickets and lunch. Children's prices are set from the ages you give in your request. Prices are provisional until our team confirms.02Can I do this from a cruise ship in Alexandria?
Often yes, if your ship stays long enough. The day runs about 13 hours door to door, so you need to be in port from early morning to well into the evening. Send us your arrival and sailing times and we will tell you whether it is safe to book.03How long is the drive each way?
About three hours each way, on the desert road, with a rest stop. Traffic near Cairo can add time. The driver leaves enough margin to be back at about 19:45.04Do we go inside the pyramids?
Entry inside the pyramids is not included. It needs a separate ticket, the space is tight and hot, and many travelers skip it. Your guide can arrange it on the day if you want to try.05What is the cancellation policy?
A cancellation made three days or more ahead is paid back in full. One made inside three days but outside 24 hours is paid back by half. A later one, or a missed pick-up, is not refunded. Tell us early about any change.06Is this trip private, or will others join us?
It is private. Only your own party travels in the vehicle, and the Egyptologist guides only you. The maximum party size is 12, and you can ask for more time at the places you enjoy most.
