14-Day Egypt Tours

In 14 days you can comfortably cover: Cairo (Pyramids, GEM, Islamic Cairo), Alexandria (1 day), Luxor (Valley of the Kings, Karnak, Luxor Temple), a 4–5 night Nile cruise (Edfu, Kom Ombo, Philae), Aswan + Abu Simbel, the White Desert overnight, and a 2-night Red Sea extension. That covers ancient, Islamic, Mediterranean, Nile, and Red Sea Egypt in a single trip.

Not for international travelers – the transatlantic flight makes a longer trip make more sense, and most clients who book a fortnight in Egypt are either returning visitors who want the destinations the standard circuit skipped, or first-timers who'd rather see the lot in one trip than come back. Each segment gets proper time rather than feeling like a sprint between airports.

Private 14-day Egypt tours start around $3,200 per person at 5-star with Nile cruise included. Mid-range (4-star hotels, 5-star ship) is $4,500–$6,500 per person. Premium tier (suite hotels, dahabiya, Oberoi-class ships) runs $8,000–$13,500. White Desert overnight + Red Sea extension are usually bundled at this length. Add 25–35% for Christmas, New Year, and US spring break.

Fifteen days is just 14 days with one extra night used either to slow the Cairo segment, add an Alexandria overnight, or extend the Red Sea by a day. For most Americans the difference is marginal – pick 14 days if you want a clean two-week window for vacation accounting, 15 days if you'd rather have an extra night somewhere specific. The itinerary structure is otherwise identical.

Some international clients do exactly this – a 7-day Cairo + Nile cruise on a first visit, then return for a 7-day Red Sea + Alexandria + White Desert trip later. Two separate transatlantic flights make it more expensive overall ($1,200–$1,800 extra on flights), and you lose the cumulative slow-pacing benefit, but if 14 consecutive days off work isn't possible the split-trip approach is genuine.
