02Overview
A first look
This is a private 9-hour day trip by road from Aswan to two temples on the Nile and back. A driver collects you at 07:00, and you drive north for about an hour to Kom Ombo, where a double temple honors both the crocodile god Sobek and the falcon god Horus. You then continue to Edfu and its large Temple of Horus, one of the best preserved in Egypt. Lunch is at a local restaurant, and you return to Aswan at about 16:00. Because the trip is private, you can ask for more time at the places you like most.
