1. 01 How do you pick me up from my cruise ship in Luxor?

   For cruise passengers, our driver meets you at the cruise jetty or assigned dock holding a name card. Please give us your ship name, cabin number and docking time when you book so we monitor arrival. Port embarkation, disembarkation checks or cruise line timings can delay gangway access; we wait but advise a flexible schedule for tours or onward transfers. Unlike shared shore shuttles, we provide private door-to-door transfers for cruise guests when docking permits.
2. 02 Do you pick up from hotels anywhere in Luxor?

   Yes – we collect from hotel lobbies within Luxor city limits, including hotels by the Nile. For West Bank hotels the transfer may include a short ferry crossing or bridge route; we'll confirm the best pickup point when you book. If your hotel has a strict lobby curfew or security desk requirement, tell us in advance so the driver has the correct meeting instructions. We coordinate with hotel concierge when necessary to avoid delays.
3. 03 What vehicle will you use and can you handle luggage?

   We provide private sedans and minivans sized to your group; drivers will load standard luggage into the boot. Oversized items, sports equipment or large cases should be declared at booking so we allocate a suitable vehicle. We do not operate shared shuttle buses; your party’s luggage remains with your vehicle and driver for the whole transfer. If you need a larger vehicle, we can arrange a small coach with prior notice.
4. 04 What happens if my cruise or flight is delayed?

   We monitor your ship or flight and adjust pickup times when possible. Please send updated ETAs as soon as you have them; for long delays we propose rescheduling options and confirm any additional charges before proceeding. Extremely late arrivals can affect driver availability in Luxor; in that case we offer alternative pickup windows or an overnight option. Communication by phone or WhatsApp during delays helps us respond fastest.
5. 05 Are child seats available for the transfer?

   Yes – child seats and booster seats are available on request; please request them when you book. Tell us the child’s age and approximate weight so we bring the correct restraint and comply with safety best practice. Availability can be limited at short notice, so prebooking ensures we reserve the right seat. Drivers will install seats where vehicle fittings allow; please be prepared to assist if the child prefers a particular harness.
6. 06 Who operates this transfer service?

   This transfer is operated by Discovery Tours Egypt, a licensed Egyptian tour operator. We supply the driver, vehicle and local coordination from our Luxor team and remain your on-ground contact for changes or issues. As the operating company we handle local permits, vehicle standards and driver vetting directly rather than subcontracting to unknown third parties. Tell us any special requirements at booking so we assign the right vehicle and team.
7. 07 How do I pay and are tips included?

   Payment terms are set at booking; gratuities are not included in the transfer price. We will confirm whether payment is due in advance, on arrival, or to the driver in cash when you receive your booking confirmation. Tipping your driver is customary for good service but always optional; if you prefer we can advise local cash options or arrange card payment where available. Any extra services requested at pickup (waiting time, detours) are confirmed and charged separately.
