1. 01 How do I meet my driver at Aswan train station?

   Your driver meets you at Aswan train station’s main arrivals exit holding a Discovery Tours Egypt name card. If your train disembarks directly onto a platform, the driver waits at the main exit; follow station signage to the arrivals hall. We use our own drivers and do not subcontract the meet-and-greet. Please send your train number and expected platform if available.
2. 02 What is included in the transfer from Aswan train station to my hotel or cruise?

   The transfer includes a private vehicle, driver, and assistance with your luggage to the hotel or cruise dock. We are a licensed Egyptian tour operator and provide an English-speaking driver; meet-and-greet at the station is included within the agreed pickup window. Driver gratuities, hotel check-in, and cruise embarkation formalities are not included unless you request them in advance. Unlike metered taxis, this service is pre-booked and scheduled to your train arrival.

   Drive time depends on your hotel’s location, the cruise-dock berth, and city traffic. Aswan is compact, so central hotels are usually a short drive; some cruise berths require additional crossing time. We monitor train status and plan pickup timing to reduce wait. If you need an exact arrival estimate, tell us your hotel or dock name and we will confirm.
4. 04 Can you assist with luggage and help at hotel check-in or cruise embarkation?

   Yes – our driver assists with lifting luggage to the hotel reception or to the cruise gangway on embarkation day. We will not sign hotel registration forms or complete immigration paperwork on your behalf unless pre-authorized. Larger groups or extra baggage may require a minivan; please state the number and size of suitcases when booking. We can arrange porter assistance at hotels or docks if you ask ahead.
5. 05 What happens if my train is delayed or canceled?

   Give us your train number and updated arrival details; we monitor delays and will adjust pickup accordingly. If the train is canceled, contact us and we will reschedule the transfer or arrange an alternative pickup point. Extended waiting or a major schedule change may incur additional charges; we will confirm any extra cost before proceeding. Keep your local mobile number reachable so our driver can coordinate.
6. 06 Do I need to tip the driver?

   Driver gratuities are not included in the transfer and are customary; tipping is at your discretion. Local drivers commonly expect a small tip for luggage assistance and city transfers; cash in Egyptian pounds (EGP) is most practical. If you prefer a cashless method or want guidance on customary amounts, tell us and we will advise. Tipping is personal and never mandatory.
7. 07 Is the transfer suitable for passengers with reduced mobility or wheelchair users?

   We can accommodate many mobility needs but require advance notice to arrange an accessible vehicle and assistance. Aswan train station has steps and some uneven surfaces; stations may lack full elevator access. Tell us the wheelchair type, number of people needing assistance, and any steps at your hotel or cruise gangway so we can confirm vehicle fit and staffing. If full step-free access is essential, we will verify feasibility before booking.
