Best time to go

October to April is cooler at Giza. In summer the plateau is very hot by midday, so the early start works well and shade breaks are important.

  • Egyptian tour operator working since 1988; our Hurghada office arranges the airport transfers
  • ETAA Licence 718, Category A, and an IATA member

02Overview

A first look

This is a private 15-hour day trip from Hurghada to Cairo by air. We book your economy flights, about one hour each way, and a driver collects you at 04:00 for the airport. In Cairo a private Egyptologist guide and driver take you to the Giza Plateau, the Great Sphinx and the Grand Egyptian Museum, with lunch at a local restaurant. Entrance tickets, lunch and water are included. It suits travelers who want Cairo's main sights in one day without a six-hour coach ride each way, and who accept an early start.

Asked & answered

Frequent questions

  1. 01How is the price calculated for this private Cairo trip?
The price is per person and falls as your party gets bigger, because the guide, driver and vehicle are shared between you. It includes your return flights, transfers, guide, tickets and lunch. Children's prices appear when you enter their ages in the request, and flights need a seat from age 2. Prices are provisional until we confirm.
  2. 02What time do we leave, and what about the flights?
A private driver collects you from your hotel in Hurghada at about 04:00 and the morning flight leaves around 06:00. Flight times follow the airline schedule on your date, so we confirm exact times when we confirm your request. You need your passport at the airport.
  3. 03Are the flights really included?
Yes. We book the economy return flights between Hurghada and Cairo and they are part of the price. We do not sell international flights, only these domestic ones inside the trip. If an airline changes a time, our team contacts you and adjusts the day.
  4. 04What should I wear and bring to Giza and the museum?
Wear light, comfortable clothes, sturdy shoes and a hat. Bring sunscreen, sunglasses and your passport. Cash is useful for optional tickets such as going inside a pyramid, or for a camel ride. Mornings in winter can be cool, so a light jacket helps at the airport.
  5. 05What is the cancellation policy for this trip?
More than 72 hours ahead, keep 100% as credit toward future travel or take a 100% refund, less bank charges. Between 72 and 24 hours, keep 100% as credit or take a 50% refund. Within 24 hours, or if you don't show up, there is no refund or credit. If we have to cancel, you lose nothing.
  6. 06Can other guests join, or is it only my party?
It is private. You have your own Egyptologist guide and driver, and nobody else joins your group. That lets you spend more time at the pyramids or move faster through the museum, as you prefer. The maximum party size is 15.
