Asked & answered
Frequent questions
01Why is this the cheapest Cairo option, and how does pricing work?
The price is per person for a shared coach of up to 40 guests, so costs are spread widely, and there are no flights. Children under 2 travel free, ages 2 to 11 pay half and 12 and over pay the adult price. Prices are provisional until our team confirms your request.02How early is pickup, and how long is the drive?
Pickup starts at 01:00 and the coach reaches Cairo around 07:30 to 08:00, about six hours later. The return takes a similar time, so you are back at your hotel between about 21:00 and 22:00. The total is around 20 hours, and most of it is on the road.03Which museum will we visit?
It is either the Grand Egyptian Museum or the National Museum of Egyptian Civilization, and we confirm which when we confirm your booking. Both are worth seeing, and your Egyptologist guide picks the main rooms. The choice depends on the date and on ticket availability.04What should I bring for such a long day?
Bring a neck pillow, a light blanket, snacks, your passport or a copy, a hat and sunscreen, and comfortable shoes. The coach is cool at night, and the plateau is hot by midday. A power bank is useful for your phone on the long drive.05What happens if I cancel?
More than 72 hours ahead, keep 100% as credit toward future travel or take a 100% refund, less bank charges. Between 72 and 24 hours, keep 100% as credit or take a 50% refund. Within 24 hours, or if you don't show up, there is no refund or credit. If we have to cancel, you lose nothing.06Is it a shared coach or private vehicle?
It is a shared coach with up to 40 guests, so you travel and visit the sites as one large group with one guide. If you want a smaller group or your own vehicle, a private trip is available, and the flight option on our site is the quicker choice.
