1. 01 How much time should I allow to get to Cairo Airport (CAI) from my downtown hotel?

   Allow two to three hours for international flights, and 90 to 120 minutes for domestic flights. Cairo traffic and CAI security and check-in lines can be slow, especially during morning and evening rush hours, public holidays, or Ramadan; plan extra buffer. Your confirmation will state a recommended pickup time adjusted for local traffic patterns.
2. 02 Will the driver meet me at my hotel lobby or at arrivals?

   Discovery Tours Egypt, a licensed Egyptian tour operator, provides the driver who meets you at your hotel lobby. For departures we collect you at the agreed time; for arrivals our driver meets you in the international or domestic arrivals hall after passport control, holding a name card. We monitor flight status and will update meeting details if your plane arrives early or late.
3. 03 What happens if my flight is delayed or I miss my connection?

   We monitor your flight and adjust pickup times when you give us the flight number. If delays exceed the waiting window shown on your confirmation, we will reassign a later driver or advise rebooking options; additional charges may apply for long delays or separate transfers. We use vetted drivers and insured vehicles rather than third-party street taxis, which helps with reassignments and liability.
4. 04 Can you provide a child car seat?

   Yes–we can provide a child car seat if requested at booking, subject to availability and local regulations. Please tell us the child’s age and weight so we supply a correctly rated restraint; availability is limited in peak periods. If you need a specific type (rear-facing, booster), request it at booking so we can confirm.
5. 05 How do I pay for the transfer and are gratuities included?

   Payment options are shown on your booking confirmation; gratuities are not included unless explicitly stated. Depending on how you booked, payment may be on your final invoice or to the driver in local currency; your confirmation lists accepted methods. Tipping drivers is customary in Cairo; small notes in local currency are convenient for airport transfers.
6. 06 Does pickup location in Giza, Nasr City, or New Cairo change the transfer time or price?

   Pickup district affects drive time and may change the transfer rate; Giza, Nasr City, and New Cairo differ in distance to CAI. We confirm the exact pickup address and the price up front so you avoid metered surprises commonly found with street taxis. Unlike generic shuttle services, we price by district and confirm timing based on local traffic patterns.
