Welcome to Discovery Tours Egypt, a licensed DMC based in Cairo.

By confirming a booking or using our website, you agree to the following Terms & Conditions.

These terms outline how we operate, your rights as a traveler, and our responsibilities as your travel service provider.

1. Introduction

Discovery Tours Egypt is an IATA-accredited and ETAA Class-A licensed Destination Management Company (License No. 718).

Our registered office is located at 12 El Obour St., Saleh Salam, Cairo, Egypt.

All tours, cruises, and travel arrangements are offered subject to these Terms & Conditions.

When you confirm a booking with us – by email, phone, whatsapp, website form, or payment – you accept these terms on behalf of all travelers in your booking.

2. Booking Process

You may book directly through our website, by email at info@discoverytoursegypt.com, or via your travel consultant.

The person making the booking must be at least 18 years old and authorized to act on behalf of all participants.

To confirm your reservation, we require:

• Full names (as shown on passports)

• Nationality and date of birth

• Passport number and expiry date

• Arrival and departure details (flight number, date, and time)

• Contact information (email and phone)

Once received, our operations team will issue a Booking Confirmation summarizing your itinerary, hotels/cruise details, and payment schedule.

3. Deposits & Payments

A deposit is required to initiate booking procedures:

• 25% of the total package price for standard tours

• 50% for high-season travel (Christmas, New Year, Easter), any booking including domestic flights or train tickets

Your balance is due 30 days prior to arrival to Egypt or as otherwise specified in your invoice.

Payments may be made by:

• Secure online payment link (Visa / MasterCard)

• Bank transfer or Western Union

Card payments may incur a 3% processing fee.

Once your deposit is received, your booking will be confirmed, and arrangements will begin immediately.

4. Pricing Policy

All prices are quoted per person in USD, based on double occupancy unless stated otherwise.

Rates shown on our website are guide prices – final prices depend on season, availability, and number of travelers.

Your confirmed quote includes:

• All taxes and service charges

• Specified accommodations, transfers, and entrance fees

• Professional Egyptologist guide services

Prices remain fixed once your deposit is received and booking confirmed.

Unconfirmed quotes may change without notice due to currency fluctuations or airline fare adjustments.

5. Cancellations by Traveler

All cancellations must be submitted in writing by the person who made the booking.

The following fees apply (based on total tour price):

In peak seasons, higher cancellation fees may apply.

Refunds (if any) will be processed within 30 days after written confirmation.

6. Cancellations by the Company

In rare cases, Discovery Tours Egypt may cancel a trip due to:

• Force majeure (war, natural disaster, pandemic, political unrest)

• Failure to meet minimum participant numbers

• Supplier or airline disruption

If this occurs, you will receive a full refund of all payments made, or the option to reschedule at no additional cost.

We are not liable for expenses outside the booking (e.g., international flight penalties).

7. Amendments & Itinerary Changes

You may request reasonable changes before or during your trip.

We will do our best to accommodate modifications; however, additional costs may apply for hotel, flight, or service changes.

If Discovery Tours Egypt must alter your itinerary due to operational reasons or safety, we will offer equivalent or upgraded alternatives at no extra charge.

8. Passports, Visas & Health

Travelers are responsible for holding a valid passport (minimum 6 months validity) beyond their departure date.

Most nationalities can obtain an Egyptian visa on arrival or via e-Visa at www.visa2egypt.gov.eg.

Please verify requirements for your nationality before travel.

We recommend checking current vaccination or health guidelines from your home country or the WHO before departure.

Discovery Tours Egypt bears no responsibility for denied entry due to incomplete travel documents.

9. Travel Insurance

Comprehensive travel insurance is strongly recommended to cover:

• Trip cancellation or interruption

• Medical emergencies

• Lost luggage or personal belongings

Discovery Tours Egypt is not liable for costs arising from uninsured events.

Please provide your policy details to your tour consultant before travel.

10. Accommodation

Hotel and cruise categories are chosen according to Egyptian tourism standards (3★ to 5★ Deluxe).

Room allocation depends on availability.

Check-in is generally 14:00 and check-out 12:00.

Nile Cruises check-in is generally around 12:00 and check-out 08:00

Early check-in or late check-out can be arranged subject to hotel policy and possible supplements.

If a preferred hotel is unavailable, we will book an equal or higher-category alternative.

11. Transportation & Domestic Flights

Domestic flights within Egypt are typically operated by Egypt Air, Nile Air, Air Cairo, or Fly Egypt.

Each passenger is allowed 23 kg checked + 7 kg carry-on luggage.

Extra baggage fees are payable directly at the airport.

All transfers are conducted in modern, air-conditioned vehicles.

We are not responsible for flight delays caused by airlines, weather, or air-traffic control, though we will assist in rearranging affected services.

12. Tour Inclusions & Exclusions

Included:

• Accommodation and daily breakfast (or meals as specified)

• All transfers per itinerary

• Entrance fees and sightseeing with licensed Egyptologist guide

• Service charges and local taxes

Not included:

• International airfare

• Visa fees and travel insurance

• Personal expenses, tipping, or optional excursions

• Drinks and meals not specified

13. Special Requests & Accessibility

Please inform us at booking of any dietary needs, mobility issues, or special assistance requirements.

We will do our best to meet these requests, subject to availability and supplier capability.

Some historic sites in Egypt may not be fully wheelchair-accessible.

Travelers with medical conditions should consult their doctor prior to travel.

14. Force Majeure

We cannot accept liability or pay compensation for circumstances beyond our control, including but not limited to:

natural disasters, war, terrorism, civil unrest, epidemics, airline strikes, or governmental actions.

In such cases, we will make every reasonable effort to minimize disruption and assist with alternative arrangements.

15. Traveler Conduct

Guests are expected to respect Egyptian laws, culture, and customs.

Discovery Tours Egypt reserves the right to terminate services without refund if a traveler’s behavior causes danger, damage, or serious inconvenience to others.

Any damages to property or vehicles caused by a traveler must be settled directly with the provider.

16. Liability & Responsibility

Discovery Tours Egypt acts as an intermediary between clients and service providers (airlines, hotels, cruises, transport companies, etc.).

While we carefully select trusted partners, we are not liable for injury, loss, delay, or damage caused by third parties, natural disasters, or circumstances beyond our control.

Our total liability shall not exceed the amount paid for the affected service.

17. Complaints & Service Issues

If you experience any issue during your trip, please report it immediately to your local representative or guide so we can resolve it on the spot.

Complaints made after the tour will be reviewed but may not qualify for compensation if not reported during travel.

For unresolved matters, contact: info@discoverytoursegypt.com within 14 days of your return.

18. Photography & Marketing

During tours, guides or representatives may take photographs or videos for promotional purposes.

We will always request verbal consent before use.

If you prefer not to appear in such materials, please inform your guide at the start of your tour.

19. Intellectual Property

All content on discoverytoursegypt.com – including text, design, photographs, logos, and media – is the intellectual property of Discovery Tours Egypt and protected by copyright laws.

Reproduction or distribution without prior written consent is strictly prohibited.

20. Governing Law & Jurisdiction

These Terms & Conditions are governed by Egyptian law.

Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Cairo, Egypt.
