What To Expect
Early Morning – Hotel Pickup & Desert Drive
Begin your group tour with pickup from your Hurghada hotel. Travel in a comfortable air-conditioned coach through the scenic Eastern Desert to Luxor (approx. 4–5 hours), with a short break along the way.
Morning – Valley of the Kings
Cross the Nile to explore the Valley of the Kings, the royal burial ground of Pharaohs including Tutankhamen and Ramses II. Visit three tombs, with the option to enter Tutankhamun’s tomb for an extra fee.
Late Morning – Temple of Queen Hatshepsut
Visit the terraced Mortuary Temple of Hatshepsut, built into the cliffs of the Theban Mountains.
Midday – Colossi of Memnon & Alabaster Workshop
Stop at the iconic Colossi of Memnon for photos, then visit a local alabaster workshop to see traditional Egyptian crafts.
Lunch – Authentic Egyptian Cuisine
Enjoy a delicious group lunch at a local restaurant, with vegetarian options available.
Afternoon – Karnak Temple

A typical Luxor Day Trip from Hurghada lasts around 14–16 hours. Most tours start very early in the morning with a bus transfer across the Eastern Desert and return to Hurghada in the evening. Although it’s a long day, the experience of seeing Luxor’s temples and tombs makes it incredibly rewarding.

Most tours visit the highlights of ancient Thebes, including the Karnak Temple Complex, the Valley of the Kings, and the Temple of Queen Hatshepsut. Luxor is about 300 kilometers (around 186 miles) from Hurghada. The journey by bus usually takes about 4–5 hours each way, passing through the scenic desert landscape between the Red Sea and the Nile Valley.

It’s best to bring comfortable walking shoes, sunscreen, sunglasses, and a hat because many sites are open-air. A small backpack with water, snacks, and your camera is also helpful. During cooler months, carrying a light jacket for the early morning departure can make the trip more comfortable.
