Payment & Deposit Policy

At Discovery Tours Egypt, we value transparency, reliability, and your peace of mind.

This policy explains how deposits and payments are handled to ensure a smooth, secure booking experience from start to finish.

1. Booking Confirmation

To confirm your booking, a deposit payment is required at the time of reservation.

Once received, you’ll receive a confirmation invoice and trip voucher summarizing your itinerary, inclusions, and agreed services.

• For multi-day tours, Nile cruises, and package holidays: a 25% deposit of the total price is required.

• For peak travel seasons (Christmas, New Year, and Easter): a 50% deposit is required.

• When your booking includes domestic flights or sleeper train tickets, a 50% deposit is required – unless otherwise agreed in writing.

• The remaining balance must be paid no later than 30 days before your arrival in Egypt.

• Bookings made within 30 days of travel require full payment at the time of booking.

2. Accepted Payment Methods

We offer several safe and convenient payment options:

a. Credit & Debit Cards

We accept Visa, MasterCard, and American Express through our 3D Secure online gateway.

💳 Note: A 3% bank processing fee applies to all card payments made via our secure payment link.

This fee is charged by the payment gateway provider and is non-refundable, even in the event of cancellation or amendment.

b. Bank Transfer (SWIFT)

Payments can also be made via international bank transfer (SWIFT) to our verified business account in Egypt.

Full bank details are provided upon request.

🏦 Important: All transfer fees, intermediary bank charges, and currency conversion costs must be covered by the sender to ensure the full invoiced amount is received by Discovery Tours Egypt.

All transactions are processed through encrypted, PCI-compliant systems for complete security.

3. Currency

All prices are quoted and charged in U.S. Dollars (USD) unless otherwise stated.

Payments in EUR, GBP, or EGP may be accepted upon request, based on the official exchange rate on the date of payment.

Minor differences may occur depending on your bank’s conversion policy.

4. Payment Security

Your security is our top priority.

All online payments are processed through SSL-encrypted gateways that meet international PCI DSS compliance standards.

We never store, share, or transmit your card details.

As an ETAA-licensed and IATA-accredited Destination Management Company, Discovery Tours Egypt guarantees full financial protection for every transaction.

5. Balance Payment

The remaining balance must be settled 30 days before your arrival using:

• A secure online payment link, or

• A SWIFT bank transfer to our registered account.

In certain pre-approved cases, the balance may be paid upon arrival in Egypt, either:

• In cash (USD, EUR, or EGP), or

• By credit/debit card (subject to the 3% processing fee).

This must be confirmed in writing by our reservations team prior to your arrival.

6. Non-Payment or Late Payment

If the balance is not received by the due date, Discovery Tours Egypt reserves the right to:

• Cancel the booking automatically, and

• Retain the deposit as a partial cancellation fee, in accordance with our Cancellation & Refund Policy.

To avoid delays or cancellations, we recommend completing all payments before the specified deadlines.

7. Booking Amendments

Should you need to modify your trip after confirmation:

• Deposits may be transferred to future dates within the same calendar year (subject to availability).

• For confirmed domestic flights, trains, or cruises, supplier change fees may apply.

8. Payment Confirmation

Once your payment is received, a digital receipt and updated confirmation will be emailed to you.
