Day 1: Cairo - Arrival

Upon arrival to Cairo International Airport you will meet your tour leader inside the arrival area. Your tour leader will then assist you through the airport formalities (arrival procedures) and then accompany you on a private air conditioned vehicle to your hotel. Your tour leader will complete the check-in procedure with you and take a moment of your time to review your holiday itinerary.

Day 2: Cairo - Pyramids, Sphinx, Egyptian Museum, Coptic & Islamic Cairo

Enjoy your breakfast at your hotel in Cairo before checking out, then your personal tour guide will accompany you to Giza Plateau to visit one of the seven wonders of the ancient world, the Great Pyramids of Cheops, Chefren and Mykerinus , followed by the famous Sphinx , and Valley temple that faces the great statue. Have your Lunch at a good quality local restaurant, then move to visit the Egyptian Museum, Treasures room for the child King Tutankhamen. Continue your tour to Coptic Cairo to see Ben Ezra Synagogue and the Hanging Church. By early evening you will be driven to the Islamic area of Cairo where you will be able to explore Khan El Khalili (Cairo’s oldest bazaar). Later, you will be transferred to Giza train station to get the sleeper train from Cairo to Aswan. Dinner and breakfast will be served on board.

Overnight: On the train (2 per cabin). Meals: Breakfast, lunch and dinner is included.


Day 3: Aswan - High Dam, Unfinished Obelisk & Philae Temple

Upon your arrival at Aswan train station, you will be met and assisted by our local representative who will transfer you to embark your Nile River cruise boat. Enjoy Lunch on board, then you will visit the famous High Dam and awe-inspiring Philae temple, a temple which has been devoted to the two goddesses Isis and Hathor. Followed by largest known ancient obelisk located in the northern region of the stone quarries of ancient Egypt, called the Unfinished Obelisk. Back to the Nile cruise with dinner on board and an overnight stay in Aswan.

Day 4: Nile - Kom Ombo & Edfu Temples

Throughout morning you will enjoy sailing to Kom Ombo whilst having your breakfast on board the Nile cruise. Arrive to Kom Ombo to visit the temple shared by two gods, Sobek and Haeroris. Return to your Nile boat and sail to Edfu. On your way to Edfu experience a delightful lunch on board the boat. Upon arrival to Edfu you will visit the best-preserved cult temple in Egypt, the Temple of Horus. Enjoy an afternoon tea when sailing to Esna.

Day 5: Luxor - Valley Of The Kings. Hatshepsut Temple, Colossi Of Memnon

In the early morning you will sail to Luxor whilst enjoying breakfast on board, then set out from your cruise to visit the West Bank of Luxor, take an excursion to the royal cemetery for the 62 Pharaohs known as the Valley of the Kings, then on to mortuary Temple of Queen Hatshepsut which was built by the architects 1of the New Kingdom Pharaoh Hatshepsut approximately in the 15th century BC. After this we will visit the Colossi of Memnon. Back to the Nile Cruise to have Lunch on board. Enjoy an afternoon tea aboard the Nile boat.

Day 6: Luxor - Karnak & Luxor Temples

Breakfast will be served on board the cruise before disembarkation, and then you will be accompanied by your tour guide to see the famous temples of Karnak and Luxor on the East bank. Later you will be transferred to Luxor train station to take the sleeper train back to Cairo. Dinner will be served on board the sleeper train and accommodation will be within a twin cabin.

Day 7: Cairo - Free Day Or Optional Excursions

Breakfast aboard the sleeper train before arriving Giza train station, where you will be met and assisted by a company representative who will transfer you to your hotel for you to enjoy your free time (we will try and get you checked in a soon as possible). There are some optional excursions available in Cairo, you can visit Step Pyramid of King Zoser in Sakkara and Memphis or experience Dinner on the Nile.

Overnight stay will be within your hotel in Cairo. Meals: Breakfast is included. Lunch and dinner isn’t included.


Day 8: Cairo - Departure Day

After breakfast at your hotel, usually you have some free time to enjoy your last remaining hours in Cairo before your flight. It is customary to check out of your room at 12 noon however you will be able to use the hotel facilities until you leave for the airport. At the agreed time your tour leader will come to collect you from the hotel and transfer you to Cairo International Airport for your departing flight.
